Seven mornings, one soft board and a very patient coach. What a first week of surfing in Sayulita actually looks like.
The Sayulita break is kind to beginners. The wave is slow, the bottom is sand, and the water is warm enough that falling off is half the fun.
Day one to day seven
Day one is on the beach, learning to pop up on the sand. By day three most people are standing on white water. By the end of the week, if the swell is right, you will have caught your first green wave and told everyone at dinner about it.
Boards and rash vests are in every house. The coach meets you at the gate at seven, before the crowds and the wind.
