“We wanted the orchard to feel familiar, not staged. Even when the rain arrived, we never felt pulled out of the day or away from our people.”

Beatrice and Henry began with a church ceremony, then led guests on foot through the historic district to the Palmetto Assembly. The procession made the city part of the celebration without turning it into scenery. Dinner balanced Charleston formality with a lighter garden sensibility: polished silver, white linen, coral charm peonies, and doors open to the courtyard. A small brass band carried the final hour outside.
