Casa
Arcilla

Arcilla was built by hand, by the same three families who still look after it. Thick walls keep it cool at noon, and every terrace is angled for the moment the sun touches the water.

Room
by room.
Outdoors
A 12-metre pool on the edge of the hill, a dining terrace under the bougainvillea, and a rooftop with two daybeds and nothing above them.
Living
A white room with terracotta floors, a table for twelve, and a bar built into the old retaining wall.
Bedrooms
Five bedrooms on four levels, each with its own terrace. The top room has a bath in the window.
Every evening the whole house stopped to watch the sun go down. We have never been so punctual in our lives.
