Laguna sits on the sand at the quiet end of the bay. The walls slide away and the house becomes a terrace; at high tide the waves reach the garden steps.

A 22-metre lap pool, a beach palapa with a bar, kayaks and boards in the boathouse, and a fire pit for the nights the wind comes in.

A double-height living room under a palm-thatch roof, open to the sea on one side and the pool on the other.
Bedrooms
Eight bedrooms, four facing the Pacific and four facing the garden, each with its own bathroom and terrace.
We booked it for a birthday and it turned into a week for a whole generation of cousins. Nobody wanted to leave the beach.
