Alistair advises corporates and private capital sponsors on M&A transactions across the Asia-Pacific region, with particular experience in the technology and consumer sectors. He joined Thornhill's Hong Kong office in 2018 and was made partner in 2023, and has advised on matters including a founder-owned technology business's majority sale to a growth investor and a regional consumer business's acquisition by an international strategic buyer.

He regularly advises on transactions involving both regional and international parties, and is well versed in managing the additional complexity that regulatory approvals across multiple Asian jurisdictions can bring to a deal timetable, including a recent joint venture between a sponsor and a regional operating partner.

Alistair holds an LL.B. from the University of Hong Kong and was admitted in Hong Kong in 2014. He is a member of the Law Society of Hong Kong.
