About
Charlotte advises on complex commercial litigation and international arbitration, with a particular focus on financial services disputes and matters involving digital assets. She joined Thornhill in 2010 and was made partner in 2019, and has led a number of the firm's highest-profile trials and arbitrations, including successfully defending a group of open-source software developers in a high-profile digital assets ownership claim and advising the beneficiaries of a family trust in a cross-border breach of trust claim against a former trustee.
She is recognised for her ability to translate technically complex evidence into a clear and persuasive case narrative, and is regularly instructed on disputes that combine legal complexity with significant reputational sensitivity, including advising a financial institution on a regulatory dispute concerning the sale of an investment product.
Charlotte holds an LL.B. from the University of Bristol and a BCL from the University of Oxford, and was admitted in England and Wales in 2012. She is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
